Have you heard the news about Trad Home? I’m pretty excited about it! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, last week WWD announced that Traditional Home and Lonny magazine founders Michelle Adams and Patrick Cline are partnering up to create this spin-off digital  shelter magazine aimed at a “younger generation of design lovers”. The partnership will marry Traditional Home’s established brand name and timeless aesthetic with Lonny’s expertise in appealing to a younger, hipper audience which I think will result in a beautifully produced publication. Trad Home will release two issues next year in May and September. What I also find interesting about this whole partnership is that Traditional Home’s relatively new publisher used to be the former Publisher of Domino! Coincidence? I think not! Anyway – There have been so many new online magazines popping up left and right…are you starting to get sick of them? Will you be logging on to read Trad Home? I know I will!

There seems to be a new on-line mag popping up every month or two. I can’t keep up!! So far, I make a point of reading Rue and Lonny and I think I’ll make sure to sign up for Trad Home when it’s available. It sounds like a winner.

That’s great news! Considering digital magazines don’t require a paid subscription, I think the more the better! What would really get me excited though is if it was in print…maybe it will convert to print eventaully? I stare at the computer enough already… really prefer printed magazines.

  4. I’m stoked! Don’t think I’ll ever get tired of reading online mags. I’ve got a feeling that this will be one of my favs!

I like the creation of new content, but there’s just something about holding a paper magazine. Books are just words, but magazines are big, bright glossy pictures. I wish there as was a way to get that experience with this content.
