In this installment of Style Stalking we examine the profoundly beautiful home of LA tastemaker, costume designer, stylist and fashion editor Jacqui Getty. Her home is currently featured in the September issue of C Magazine and I am completely OBSESSED! Nestled high atop the Hollywood Hills, Getty’s Spanish style home is full of deeply personal touches like family photos, gifts from loved ones and a MAJOR art collection that I’m willing to bet is worth more than the house itself! (We’re talking Jackson Pollacks and Basquiats here!) The house also has quite a storied history…it was a gift from famed director Francis Ford Coppola, who happens to be her daughter Gia’s grandfather, and has hosted more A-list celebrities than the Oscars red carpet – all who have been guests the many fabulous cocktail parties that Getty is famous for throwing. Seriously, this house is insane and I really love its laidback bohemian vibe and the colorful, eclectic touches throughout. Take a look at the photos below, click here to read the full article and be prepared for a major case of style envy!

I’m super excited about the highly anticipated Missoni for Target collaboration hitting stores September 13th! The line is quite extensive and is one of the best Target designer collaborations I’ve seen in a while. I seriously love every single piece! The line is full of colorful and graphic home, fashion and lifestyle items adorned with Missoni’s signature flame stitch patterns and bold prints. Check out this video featuring the uber-stylish Margherita Missoni giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the collection which is sure to add some flair to your wardrobe and home. This is one Target collab that is sure to sell out quickly so I’m definitely going to stalk my local target store on launch day to get first dibs on the good stuff! And if you happen to live in New York you’re in luck because Target will be launching a special pop up shop in conjunction with Fashion’s Night Out that will enable you to shop the collection early! My friend, interior designer Kishani Perera, recently opened up a lovely little shop called Rummage on Beverly Blvd in LA that’s full of one-of-a-kind vintage treasures re-worked with Kishani’s colorful, whimsical magic. It’s no secret that Kishani is the decorator of choice for Hollywood celebrities like Kate Bosworth, Josh Duhamel and Molly Simms, but now anyone can get a piece of her signature style at Rummage which offers high and low finds plus some of Kishani’s own custom furniture designs. She says accessories – particularly colorful, ethnic-inspired pillows – have been top sellers at Rummage since it opened in June. If you’re in the area, be sure to drop by for a visit and below is a peek at some of the beautiful things you’ll find inside.

I was so excited to see one of my friend Josh Greene’s design projects recently featured in Hamptons Cottages & Gardens! The 675 square foot cottage he designed for a Manhattan couple might be a bit small, but what it lacks in space it makes up for it with major style! The weekend retreat was designed for comfort and blends classic Americana with a bit of Hamptons prep…think sisal carpets, beadboard paneling, ticking stripes and a color palette of calming blues mixed with neutral hues. Here are the photos and to read the full story click here to read it on the Hamptons Cottages & Gardens site. Congrats Josh!

I’m willing to bet I’m not the only one who’s a little bit obsessed with J. Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons’ killer personal style. Her effortlessly layered looks and quirky, slightly tomboy-ish, mix and match approach to dressing has made her a bonafide style icon yet while she’s often revered for her fashion choices, I’d argue that her decor style is equally enviable. Jenna even once said in an interview that if she wasn’t working in fashion she’d probably be an interior designer! Not only does she live in an uber-cool Brooklyn brownstone which she decorated herself, (see her whole home here), she also goes to work everyday to an eclectic, colorful office which boasts a Moroccan rug, a coral toned desk, lots of personal touches and inspiration abound. Stylelist recently featured these photos of her office which will make you fall just as hard for Jenna’s style as I have! You can see the full tour of her office and interview here and below I’ve broken down how you can get this look for yourself!
